Dallin Spring Online Auction

We are so excited that registration is now open for the Dallin Spring Online Auction!  

What was originally planned as a Spring 2020 in person event has now transformed into a smaller (but still awesome!) Spring 2021 online auction. The goal is still the same–to raise money to support curriculum enrichment, teacher appreciation, supplies, and much more!  We are incredibly grateful to our generous sponsors and donors who have made the auction possible.

REGISTER!

Go to virtualauction.bid/Dallin2021 and click REGISTER: Create an account! You do not need to add a credit card if you’d prefer to pay by check/cash, just click “Skip this step” on the Register Card step. Once you’re registered, you can also download the Auctria app, and enter the Access Code you receive in your confirmation email to follow the auction.

Credit card fees: Feel free to register a credit card for ease of payment but, note,  there is a processing fee that will be added to your total for credit card payments. It is approximately $3.80 for every $100. If you do not wish to pay the fee, then please plan on paying for items with cash or a check payable to the Dallin PTO. 

BID!

Click AUCTION at virtualauction.bid/Dallin2021 (or click on the Auctria app if you’ve downloaded it!): Between June 1st at 5pm and June 8th at 9pm, bidding will be open!  You’ll be prompted to sign-in with your account registration information.

What is “proxy” bidding? When you enter a bid, you can also enter a “proxy” bid. A “proxy” bid is the maximum amount you’re willing to spend on an item. If you are outbid, your bid will automatically be increased (by the minimum bid increment) so that you remain the item winner–unless someone else outbids your maximum bid!

PAY AND PICK-UP ITEMS!

You can pay online with a credit card (super quick and easy but includes a small credit card fee) or pay by cash or check to Dallin PTO. Payments can be made and items picked up at Dallin from 8-9am on Wednesday, June 9th, or delivery/pick-up alternatives in Arlington will be arranged.  Quick payment is very much appreciated!

Save the Date for An Evening Under the Stars

Dallin’s Biennial Live & Silent Auction
May 8, 2020 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Arlington Town Hall’s Robbins Memorial Auditorium

Please join us to celebrate our Dallin Faculty and Staff Stars, support the great teaching and learning that occurs at Dallin, bid on some great items from our generous donors and sponsors, and enjoy a drink or dessert with your Dallin friends.

All proceeds from the Auction will be used to support two years of PTO budgeting, including mini-grants for innovative teaching, professional development, classroom materials and enrichment activities.

It’s a big event and we’ll need some volunteers to make it a success.

How can you help?

  • Family Donations – These are the heart and soul of the auction! Members of the Dallin community can donate IT services, childcare services, family photo sessions, etc. You don’t have to go it alone. Get together with some friends, check out our idea list on the back of this flyer and donate to support the school! Go to charityauction.bid/2020DallinSpringAuction to submit an online donation form or print out the donation form below and submit it to the PTO Auction box in the Dallin main office by Thursday, March 12th to be included in the Auction program.
  • Marketing/Promoting the Event to Dallin Community – Like and follow our Facebook page, then like and share posts to help spread the word through your group of Dallin Facebook friends.
  • Selling Tickets – We’ll have tables at some events you may already be coming to and some at times before and after school.
  • Set Up/Decorations – Feeling crafty? We may need help putting together decorations and we’ll definitely need help on the day of the auction to get everything in place and ready to go.
  • Check In/Check Out – Are you a people person? We’ll need help closing out bids and collecting payment.
  • Clean Up – Who doesn’t love an after party? Be our hero and help us return the Town Hall to the way we found it.

Dallin Auction This Week!

This is just a reminder that the Dallin Spring Auction: Planting Seeds for Blooming Hearts & Minds, will be held this coming Friday, the 27th at the Town Hall.  It promises to be a fantastic night and we hope that all of you will join us as we celebrate the great teaching and learning that happens at the Dallin School.  All proceeds from the event support our teachers and students.

Tickets:  Ticket prices are now $30 each.  Please reach out to Mr. Dingman by Wednesday if you would like to come but the ticket price creates a hardship.  You can still submit a paper ticket form to the main office or buy tickets online at: charityauction.bid/DallinSpringAuction.  Tickets are not sold at the door.  They are on sale until noon on Friday.

Auction Tickets For Sale

AUCTION TICKETS ON SALE AT ART NIGHT

Auction Tickets will be on sale at Art Night, this Thursday, the 29th, from 6-8.  Tickets will be on sale for $25 each until the 22nd.  After the 22nd, the ticket price will go up to $30 each.  Drink tickets ($5) and raffle tickets (3 for $5) can also be pre-ordered.  Feel free to print the form below and fill it out in advance or fill out a form that we’ll have at the auction table at Art Night.

EARLY BIRD RAFFLE: A FREE NIGHT OF BABYSITTING FOR THE AUCTION

Yes, it’s true!  If you purchase tickets prior to April 12th at 9 a.m., you will be automatically entered into this raffle.  Miss Molly, Dallin Building  Substitute and TASC employee extraordinaire, will babysit one family’s children for four hours at no cost to the winners!  If purchasing event tickets
creates a financial hardship and you wish to attend, please contact Mr. Dingman.

The Auction is in Two Months!

The Dallin Spring Auction is only 2 months away and we need your help. What can you do

1. Plan to attend. Get your babysitters now! This night will be the most fun you will have this spring – do not miss out! The live and silent auction will be held on Friday night, April 27th from 7-11 p.m. at Arlington’s Town Hall. There will be over 225 Dallin friends and families attending. Come mingle, indulge in libations, and hear great music all while supporting the great teaching and learning at the Dallin School.

2. Donate to the auction. The Dallin families’ (singly or in groups) donations are the heart and soul of the event. Past donations include a mix of skill sharing (carpentry, technology troubleshooting, interior or landscape design, art, cooking and/or yoga classes), experiences (workplace tours, helicopter flights, vacation house overnight stays, pet sitting, babysitting, family photoshoots) or items (theater or sports tickets, games for the kids, restaurant gift cards, themed baskets of all kinds of items). You can print out the donation form  or use the online form. Here is a list of donation ideas. You can also We’d love to know about as many donations as possible before Thursday, March 8th so that we can include it in our Auction Booklet that will be going to print mid-March. However, we will accept donations right up until the 25th of April.

3. Become an auction volunteer. We will have two more planning meetings prior to the event – March 8th and April 12th . Come and help us plan the event. We will post a SignUpGenius in early April. To run the event, we will need a large number of volunteers. Many people sign up
for a shift or two. It’s a great way to meet other Dallin Parents.

Again, this is the must-attend event of the spring! It is so great to have a chance to see/meet one another for a night out on the town. We look forward to seeing each and every one of you there.

Dallin Spring Auction

We are so excited to host our biennial live & silent auction event on April 27th at Arlington Town Hall’s Robbins Memorial Auditorium. The evening is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our community and to support the great teaching and learning that occurs at the Dallin School. We hope that you will join us for an evening full of great friends, music, and cheer.

In addition to having a great time connecting with Dallin friends, families and teachers, the variety of unique items and experiences that the Dallin families donate is the heart of it all. Donations  have included sports or theater tickets, workplace tours, handcrafted items, and cooking lessons. Yoga classes in your home, mixed media classes for kids, birthday party entertainment, one-on-one coaching, pet sitting, mixology lessons, wine tasting parties, fine dining gift cards, and activities
like a Boston Harbor Cruise are also examples of the wonderful items that the Dallin families have donated in the past. And, some have combined their efforts to pull together a themed basket or
more expensive item than they would have been able to do otherwise. Can’t come up with an idea?
Here is a list of ideas to get you started.

This year we offer the opportunity to submit your donation through an on-line form. Please go here to access the on-line donation form: charityauction.bid/DallinSpringAuction. Should you prefer to use the donation form, that also will be terrific. Please return the form to the Auction PTO mailbox in the main office. We will compile all of the donations into the eagerly awaited Auction Booklet. In order for your donation to be included in the Booklet, please return your form or submit your item on-line before the March 6th deadline.
