Monday, May 7 starts Dallin’s Teacher Appreciation Week. Take a moment to remind your child to say thank you to the teachers and staff that make his/her day(s) at Dallin more meaningful. Take a moment yourself to say a kind work of gratitude at drop off, pick up or at volunteer time. It will mean the world to them to know that their tireless efforts make a difference.

We have a full week planned to show our teachers how much we care about them. So many of you parents have already signed up or volunteered to help out next week – thank you! We couldn’t do this without your efforts! If you haven’t yet had the chance to sign up or ‘raise your hand’ to volunteer, here are a couple of last minute requests:

    1. 1. We need more food items, especially for the luncheon! The luncheon is a well-loved tradition for our teachers and staff and we want to make it as delicious and plentiful as we can. We always can use more food! If a slot is filled—we’d still love to have your homemade or store-bought breakfast item, lunch item, or treat! Please keep food peanut free. Please provide a label that highlights major allergens (i.e., dairy, egg, gluten, etc.) as well as the name of the item. We also need more food for each breakfast, the snacks, and the cookie buffet. Please Sign-Up to Volunteer Here.

    1. 2. Check-in with your child’s room parents to see if luncheon coverage is still needed on Thursday, May 10, if you are able to help. We also will need help for covering the specialists slots, Please either ask your room parent or contact us if you are willing to help.

      1. 3. Finally, on Friday, May 11, students should bring in homemade cards, pictures, poems, etc. and give them to their teacher. Feel free to encourage them to make something for their favorite /staff/specialist if they feel inclined. We will be providing each staff member, teacher and specialist a gift each day.

Thank you for helping us make this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week a success!
